I just purchased a Slingbox, and I love it! I travel a lot, and you truly can watch it anywhere in the world where you can pick up internet access. I love the fact that I can turn on my TV three states away and freak everyone in my house out! It can be a pain to set up, I had some problem by myself, but the people they have working are great. I told the guy to go to work and watched my mouse move around my computer screen, go to places I didn't know exist, and poof it was working within 15 minutes. Some people have said that they can't run a firewall or anti-virus software with the player... I have no such problem. I had to disable it to install the software and get everything set up, but it worked fine when I reactivated it.

I agree with you on the Rome point. ;-)

Thanks for the great post. Clear and concise. I really like the fact that I don't have to go through the whole Slingbox website marketing jargon to get the meat.
